Dungeness Fashion #1

Wow. It's been a pretty long time since I posted anything up on here. The site's looking pretty aged now but I don't have time to revamp it, sadly.

Anyway I went to Dungeness with Jeff yesterday to assist on a fashion shoot and had a couple of quick chances to take some photos of my own so I thought I'd pick the least poor one and post it, which is this :)

Still keepin' it real with Photoshop CS3 too, although my skills are pretty rickety now.

See you in another few years or whatever.

Well then... It's been a very, very long time since I blogged anything and even this is from a while back but I've always had a rough idea of what I wanted to do with these two shots and today I finally decided to do something about it.

On the way down we couldn't believe how good the mist was looking with the sky so we had to stop off and get a few of these shots, it would've been silly not to.

Metalfingerz Speedboat #2

Once again this is Jeff, maxin' in our new aquatic home-from-home.

Although I've got a soft spot for all the shots of us both clowning around (because they sum up a great day out for me) I think technically this shot probably beats them all for lighting and composition, despite not being able to see the whole boat.

I've added it into the Flickr set with the rest of them.

I've been a bit lazy about blogging and photography in general recently, but today, for the first time in ages, I thoroughly enjoyed it again and got some shots I'm really happy with.

Jeff and I went to Dungeness and among other things we found this incredible old speedboat, so of course we had to do some shots of ourselves enjoying the high life.

We went through quite a few different poses and ideas and generally mucked about to our hearts content. You can see the rest of the series on Flickr if you want to check out the other poses.

Plus there's at least one more boat shot that I'll blog and add to Flickr and Facebook in due course, when it goes up here.

Oh and that old telly will be featuring in a few more shots too. That was Jeff's find.

I went to The Barbican with Jeff last weekend and in a fit of positive activity I've managed to get one of the photos onto my blog in less than a week :)

I like The Barbican. I think I could perhaps live there, maybe.

Agyness Deyn

Compared to the more colourful Agyness shot that I posted on Facebook (link) I suspect most of you will find this a bit drab but personally I love the extra luminosity detail and contrast you can get when you desaturate an image, plus it makes it easier to use colour to convey a mood.

Anyway, I like this photo a lot. I'll probably never get the chance to photograph Agyness Deyn again but I'm happy with this one so I can rest easy.
