Compared to the more colourful Agyness shot that I posted on Facebook (link) I suspect most of you will find this a bit drab but personally I love the extra luminosity detail and contrast you can get when you desaturate an image, plus it makes it easier to use colour to convey a mood.

Anyway, I like this photo a lot. I'll probably never get the chance to photograph Agyness Deyn again but I'm happy with this one so I can rest easy.

I forgot to get this man's name but he sells wine in Kalives, Crete. He was very friendly and responded well to the universal "can I take a photo of you" gesture (ie a raised camera and raised eyebrow).

This was taken in Padstow during a recent trip down to Cornwall with friends, on the day of the 'Obby 'Oss.

I tried a few different angles but this was my favourite compromise between minimalism and actually seeing something of interest.

Another archive raid, and one which I spent quite a while tidying up.

I love the 3D-ness of this. By which I mean that the dog's line of sight is almost at right-angles to the line of its body, which in turn is almost perpendicular to the lines of the road. And then you've got the railings which cut across all the other lines apart from the dog's front legs.

In case you're interested, this shot was taken at the same time as this.

This was one of the very first photos I took when I started the blog but it sat unprocessed until now.

For some reason I decided to archive raid in reverse order to usual (I normally search through the most recent folders first) and see if any of my older shots were worth revisiting.

I quite enjoyed it, actually, so I might look for some more.
