Holdin' It Down On Tha Street

Posted on Fri 26th May, 2006, 12:55pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/40, Aperture: f/5.6,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 22nd May 2006, 6:17pm,

I'm really happy with the processing on this. I used C1 to convert the Raw file rather than RawShooter but I don't think it makes much difference to be honest. I just fancied a change.

Got a pair of shots to go up as the next couple of posts and I like them both equally so you lot can choose the order. Which do you want first, a park keeper called Bill or a daisy with shallow depth of field (no pun intended)?

Ah yellow and blue... The perfect colour coupling, IMO.

You're right to be happy. The shot is spot on and the processing is superb. Let's have Bill first :)

I like this shot man, good colors and excellent processing. I love your work. I'll go with the others, let's see Bill.

Very nice processing, and as above the colours go very well together. Nice one.

Jamey in Flower Photoblog entry Shocka! ;-) I like this, you have taken what could have been a very mediocre shot with little interest into something that looks very good and interesting. Nice work Jamey. p.s. How many layers for it m8? :P

daisy with shallow depth of field (sounds like a stereotypical blonde!) I'd probs prefer to see the park keeper ;) Great shot, a bit HDR me suspects?? love the colours ;)

Trying to catch me out with HDR trickery, eh? Well I'm afraid there's none at all here. Not a sausage. Even the dodging and burning is fairly minimal. And Sys, I think it's only about 5 or 6 layers, most of which were adjustment layers.
