Untitled #21

Posted on Mon 14th Aug, 2006, 5:40pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/800, Aperture: f/8,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 31st July 2006, 10:52am,

I'm so bad at titling my images at the moment. Really need to get some sort of procedure or consistency.

This was taken on a commissioned shoot - a charity golfing event - at about the same time I shot this one. It was a lot of fun and the weather was pretty diverse but it made for some good skies.

This works really well in B&W. The sky is excellent.

Very cool high contrast image! How is that lense working out for you? I am thinking of getting one pretty soon.

Do I detect a slight monochrome in there? Awesome image Jamey.

WOW! Nice work with the clouds. Seems like you've cracked it now.

Here's a title: "Carted off". Hmmm. This is part of your pro shoot I guess. It's a great picture - sky is fab (always a fave for me) and there's one single focal point wonderfully picked out in light. I don't think it would have worked so well if Arnold Palmer there was wearing black golf shoes. Nice one. Now get thee to the coast for hot cloud action.

What I like about this picture (apart from the sky) is that it shows the golfer to be totally oblivious to the beauty of what is above his head. I like this photo a lot

John - that's what I liked about it too, but I couldn't think of a title to reflect that.

I like it

Good sky and great capture of the golfer being "elsewhere", looks damn good in B & W!
