Wires #1

Posted on Mon 9th Oct, 2006, 5:20pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/160, Aperture: f/2.8,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Fill, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 21st September 2006, 3:42pm,

This was taken in a big grafitti park round the back of Kunsthaus Tacheles in Berlin. For those that don't know about it, I'm not going to attept to explain here. Instead look at the description on Wikipedia

It's a really cool place and I'd urge anyone going to the city to check it out.

I really like the shot...I'm not sure I like the choise of apperture though, I think it should have been smaller.

It's interesting reading the comments to this one as it's probably one of the most deliberate photos I've ever taken and I've been quite happy with it at every step of the process. I spent about ten minutes getting the raw shot exactly as I wanted it and the processing went very smoothly as a result.

I like the DOF you have worked with here Jamey but as for the image content tis a bit "leftfield" for me even with my mad mind!

I like it Jamey, The DOF and detail is really good.

The in focus part to me is at the base of the image although I'm drawn to the cable end in the upper third, mainly I guess as it's the brightest source. Trouble is, is that's slightly blurred.
