Bandstand

Posted on Fri 24th Nov, 2006, 4:51pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 164 Seconds, Aperture: f/16,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM, Focal length: 20mm,
Captured: 18th November 2006, 10:55pm,

This is my favourite from the night shoot but I do have one criticism - it's a bit too successful.

I wanted a totally black background and I've captured one but even though it's all natural, it still looks as though I've just gone around and painted black everywhere except the bandstand, which I haven't.

Would be nice if it was completely symmetrical, but bar a pneumatic drill and some concrete and fixings thats just stupid! Great processing on this to say it was a night shot. Have enjoyed the photos from your weekend.

I was quite envious of this image when I saw it your screen at Blackpool, its a lovely shot Jamey. I know what you mean about the perfect black tone but it works perfectly. Mal

I don't mind the lack of symmetry to the shot but I dont like the step at the very bottom being cropped ½ way up itself, it just makes it look incomplete at that point. Nice P&P tho with good contrast.
