Back to the Future

Posted on Tue 30th Jan, 2007, 12:40am

ISO: 400, Shutter speed: 1/50, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 24th January 2007, 3:33pm,

This is the first photo from the new flat - it's a wall marking we found under the layers of old wallpaper and paint.

I'm posting it partly because I like the image and partly because I don't think I'll be able to post much this week and it provides a nice way to mention it :)

Basically, I've got very little I like in the archive , I've got very little time to go out shooting and even if I had loads of time, I've lent my camera to someone else for a week.

So apologies in advance for the slight absence that's about to take place, I think.

That's beautiful. Why don't you just leave the wall like that and move the furniture in ;) There are only two good things about stripping wallpaper. One is when you pull a corner and a whole dstrip comes off and the other is when you find interesting things underneath :)

Old stencil art. Very Jane Austen. It looks a right royal pain to remove - best of luck matey!!!

Nice touches of jade green. I had a house-warming party once and we stripped the walls first then issued everyone with a pen....then papered over later. There were some cracking comments left - all "clean"...hope the future decorator had a sense of humour.

I could definitely see this working as a textured layer over another image later on, looks wicked.

Bet it would make a nice overlay on one of your urban shots.

Love the textures here - nice abstract.
