Grey Day

Untitled #55

Posted on Wed 11th Apr, 2007, 9:33pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/40, Aperture: f/2,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 16th January 2007, 3:07pm,

Here we have a classic example of why you can't judge the quality of a lens from a websize Jpeg. The full-size version of this has terrible motion blur (camera shake) but you'd be hard pressed to tell from this 'web print'.

Anyway, enough techie crap. It's a cat that followed me around the White City estate for a while.

And I made a mistake with the link in yesterday's post (sorry Martin)... I ought to have linked to the digital cameras section on testfreaks, so please go and have a look there instead. Thank you.

I like the way you've used the reds and greens to balance everything. I'm not a big fan of cats though. /fetches dog

You know I think this is an amazing shot...but I'm not too happy witht he slant or the composition. I think you could have either had more red on the other side of the cat or cropped it more tightly.

Love the eyes and the DOF works really well, nice one.

Groovy puss. Worth nicking to take home.

Great colours. I like the green eyes against the red background. The slant is a bit off putting though.

Looks ready to pounce!

All looks good to me here, particularly digging the contrast of the eyes with the background.

What a lovely shot and a beautiful creature! Adorable! I like the colours of the background! Please, feel free to visit and share your thoughts if you like, at my husband's photo site! Greetings from Greece

I love your work, but especially when it's a pussycat. More cat pics I say.
