Untitled #57

Cute

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/320, Aperture: f/5,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 21st April 2007, 3:25pm,

I should have got a bit closer for this really but I'm still working on my candid/street courage.

Nevertheless, I think it portrays a dimension of Whitby quite well. Which isn't to say I don't like the place, far from it. But a lot of coastal towns have a seedy aspect and Whitby's no exception.

Phwoaaar!! In all seriousness, this is ace. It has a comedy message but technically it's great too. I love the fact the girls top matches the beach hut so well. It balances it all brilliantly.

You seem to have got some kind of smeary dirtyness on your lens there Jamey mate... ;) Like this and as been noted the matching colours kick it off all the more, I'm interested in the bikes in the distant they look photogenic.

Yes, i really like this too - the placement of the huts is spot on and the line of the hill leading down. The figures make the shot - "cute" bum, lol! I like the processing too, gives it a grungy semi-nightmarish dreamlike quality, like your destined to walk forever along this line of faded, jaded beach huts!

This makes me feel like I'm stalking a woman with a fat ass. That's what you were doing right? :)

Zoom in, whack the saturation up by 900% and have yourself a Martin Parr. I think you're spot on about portraying a certain other dimension of Whitby.

I really like the grunge element to this.
