Owen & Alan #2

Posted on Fri 15th Jun, 2007, 5:09pm

ISO: 400, Shutter speed: 1/250, Aperture: f/11,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Side, Cropping: Square,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 18th November 2006, 4:42pm,

It's been a while since I posted anything, apologies. I should be getting back into the swing of things in two or three weeks, but in the meantime here's an archive shot.

I posted a very similar shot previously and a lot of people commented on the eyes looking wrong so I've left the catchlights in this one.

I love the contrast range and lighting in that, but is the zip blown or just the way it looks in the shot?

Nice range of tones, nice and sharp, and I like the way the guy on the right is leaning into the shot.

This reminds me of a film with some guys jumping on trains. Think George Clooney was in it. Very nice portrait shot.

it really is a super image Jamey, the lighting and exposure is spot on and you have captured the character in the faces. mal

cracking portrait, love the character, expression and the moody colour range and contrast. just wondering if they beat you up afterwards

The catchlights are definitely important. A happier photo but also ever so slightly incredulous in that they're not sure why their photo is being taken.
