ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1./250, Aperture: f/7.1,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Off-camera, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L, Focal length: 35mm,
Captured: 12th October 2008, 7:54am,

Well then... It's been a very, very long time since I blogged anything and even this is from a while back but I've always had a rough idea of what I wanted to do with these two shots and today I finally decided to do something about it.

It's from Dungeness and is part of the same group as the speedboat shots with Jeff.

Beautifully lit - the clarity, especially on the foreground 'flag', feels 'studio-like'. Overall, an explosion.

That works well. I presume you used your flash? Agree with Milou, lighting is very good.

He put his eye to the hole. He just managed to spy some people sitting in deckchairs chanting, before a finger came out of nowhere and poked him in the eye. As he staggered back, the people started chanting, "Fourteen, fourteen, fourteen..."
