Wash Happnin'?

Posted on Mon 16th Jan, 2006, 8:41pm

ISO: 200, Shutter speed: 1/40, Aperture: f/4,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: None, Cropping: None,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 16th January 2006, 2:30pm,

Oof. Terrible pun but I couldn't think of anything better. Feel free to suggest some, if you like.

I love laundromats. There's just something very photogenic about them and I might try to pluck up the courage to go inside and get some better shots at some point.

Also, the colours here tie-in with the colours I've been looking at on my screen all day because we're working on a mobile site for the new Wogan thing that's gonna be on UKTV Gold at the end of the month.

I have to confess that the relatively low resolution of this image hides the fact that it's not as sharp as I'd like. This is definitely one that looks better when viewed at print size, as it were.

Washtastic colours - maybe you should have tried a higher ISO?

More to the point - a fiver per wash? Taking into account the weirdos you normally find in there, they could replace their whole wardrobe for that! At that price, everyone in Eastenders could have bought about 50 washing machines each over time!!!

Looks sharp enough to me! I love the repetition of shapes going on, circles and squares. Compilments each other very well - the slight wonky angle of it ampilfies this.

we charge a very reasonable thruppence here in walford, but i did see the £5 covers an extra large wash, a service we simply refuse to supply! harumph!
