Ghost 1

Posted on Mon 23rd Jan, 2006, 10:16pm

ISO: 100, Shutter speed: 1/30, Aperture: f/5,
Camera: Canon EOS 20D, Flash: Wireless, Cropping: Minor,
Lens: Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 EX DC, Focal length: 18mm,
Captured: 21st January 2006, 4:44pm,

This is Ghost, who I mentioned in yesterday's post. You'll notice as well that the block of flats behind him is the same as yesterday's photo.

I've got quite a few pictures of Ghost that I like so I'll probably put them up throughout the week so that they sit next to each other in the archive. Once again, I just want to say that all credit for choice of locations must go to Jeff. I was just tagging along, really.

I like the lighting in this shot a lot. The only thing that annoys me about this photo is that it looks quite different to yesterday's one. While I wasn't deliberately trying to match them properly, it would be nice if it was at least similar. Overall though, I'm still happy with it.

Cool, cool bit too much light on the subject frame left. But a nicely put together shot. And everyone is thieving ideas- nothings new or never been done. Good work

The lighting is intentional, well, what I mean is that my levels adjustment was intentional. And I deliberately had the flash off to the side. This was actually a test shot that turned out better than I thought, so I kept it.

Fair cop guv, the left side of his face has too much shadow for my liking. BUT as i said before minor point in an otherwise strong photo.

Cheers. You may be right. If I'd had something to bounce the light off (and fill the other side) I might've done that, just to see what it looked like.

Cool flash lighting, but I find the wires behind his head lead my eye away from the subject ...
